This painting is a piece depicting the rising of Nanda’s mother’s soul to heaven. Nanda painted the piece for the space where she last visited before she passed on. The rose was her favorite flower and Nanda used that image to depict her soul. Angels are carrying her up. The piece is painting on canvas with a collage of sari pieces and a man-made rose.
